Micheal O’Hare’s ‘space age Asian’ restaurant will open to the public on Tuesday January 3, GG Hospitality has revealed.
Owned by Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville, the hospitality empire appointed the Michelin-starred chef as creative director for the restaurant, which will be located on the fifth and sixth floors of the National Football Museum in Manchester’s city centre Urbis building.
The restaurant, which is named after an Asian fable, released a small number of tables for a soft launch this month, all of which were snapped up within minutes. January 3 will be the restaurant’s official launch date, and according to The Rabbit In The Moon’s Twitter page, bookings will go live today at noon via their website. O’Hare’s protégé, Luke Cockerill, will head up the kitchen, which will serve a 17-course tasting menu priced at £75 per person. Visitors can expect eclectic dishes such as wagyu nigiri, edible plum stone, crispy rabbit ears and a Chinese bacon butty.
